Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future Business Development Manager: Metals Recycling, Salts & Solutions Where the Chemistry Happens The Global Metals Recycling and Salts & Solutions business is seeking a professional like you who will lead the expansion of our current Salts & Solutions business and develop recycling opportunities for battery materials. As the Business Development Manager for this unit, you will have global P&L responsibility for Salts & Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for leading this business expansion in close collaboration with the regional and functional leaders of the catalyst organization to double profitability over the next 2 years. You will also be responsible for developing a strategy for expanding our recycling services for Lithium-Ion and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries from all possible applications across the globe. Leveraging your education and extensive commercial and operations professional experience, you will support the development, implementation, and strategy for industry positioning, customer management, pricing, supply-chain, and risk management to drive profitable growth.Successfully engaging across the organization, you will support active communication and knowledge sharing, both within the Precious Metals and Refining Salt and Solutions commercial and trading organization and with other stakeholders within the business unit and Catalyst Division.Utilizing your proficient knowledge of both the catalyst and recycling markets, you will analyze market trends, identify and monitor growth areas, and derive areas for growth.Your strong interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, and networking skills will be a valued asset as you negotiate, manage contracts, and provide effective supply chain management. Additionally, you will work globally across functions to develop the strategic plan for the recycling services for Lithium-Ion and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries, in alignment with the overall business strategy.Your strong communication skills are essential as you develop and align market communications and ensure input to business leaders and divisional communications team for both external and internal communications.Your self-motivated nature is a strong asset as you will keep well-informed of all major changes influencing the salts and solutions and metals recycling business environment.Working independently, you will ensure compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with BASF or regulatory standards and policies and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issuesApply for this job.
