We currently have a Business Intelligence Delivery Manager position available at our Global Headquarters in Boise, ID. SUMMARYAccountable and responsible for design, development and deep support of Simplot Business Analytics (Business Intelligence and reporting).
These solutions involve the development of data warehouses, star schemas, tabular and multidimensional data structures, business intelligence visualizations, reporting and reporting strategies. Provides coaching, direction and leadership to global, professional staff.
Also initiates, measures and manages vendor relationship for context activity and staff augmentation.
Directs and assigns personnel, evaluates staff performance and responsible for resource allocation.
Assists in the development and maintenance of departmental planning and budgeting. Coordinates activities and establishes priorities (process improvements, projects and maintenance) to ensure deadlines are met within budget. Responsible for delivering and supporting technology and IT change within groups or business unit. platforms and solutionsManages tools roadmap supporting business intelligence capabilitiesDrives data modeling supporting business intelligence platformsReporting strategy with goal of enabling self-service reporting for the enterpriseManages plan of record delivery for projects, meeting scope, quality and benefit goalsManages activities of individual contributors, contingent workforce, and / or deliverables of contracted services.Applies subject matter knowledge to help team solve moderate to complex business / technical issues.Plans, directs, and monitors operational activities of staff and drives the strategic plan for the team.Accountable for department-specific results, organizational strategy, and transformational activities.Resolves or leads resolution of escalated technical and business issues successfully.Continually Improves work procedures and processes for area.Manages conflicting priorities and allocations and escalates as appropriate.Communicates organizational business plans and strategies and drives performance planning and review.Demonstrates business acumen and applies it for effective engagement with internal and external partners.Drives change management in the team or immediate organization.Takes personal ownership of the IT strategy and drives support of it.Provides technical leadership as well as people leadership.Exerts influence beyond the immediate team. REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university8-10 years relevant work experienceHistory that includes leading diverse teams to an end-state goal successfullyPeople management experience that includes coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actionMentoring experience that includes helping individuals move from one state of technical expertise to anotherUnderstanding of – or experience with – owning and supporting multiple business software assetsFunctional experience leading or managing the work of others in solution deployment cross functionallyDeep experience in at least one IT discipline – software engineering, requirements analysis, solution design and provisioning, project management, software asset supportKnowledge of – and experience with – software development lifecycles and project delivery methodologiesLight experience in data interchange design, deployment, and maintenance / troubleshootingExperience working across global teams preferred, including sensitivity to cultural differencesExperience configuring and deploying global solutions preferredExperience with back office software solutions desired (HR, Finance, Procurement, Shared Services, etc.)Background or experience with financial accounting principles desired
