Position Purpose: The Business & Sales Operations Lead is a key member of the US Pork & Poultry Leadership Team (LT) and a champion for the field force (FF), working directly with the LT, Pork & Poultry Sales LT, marketing, technical service, major accounts, field services groups and Zoetis US cross-functional operations functions to assure maximal alignment, teamwork, and usage of all resources. This is a critical role in leading the alignment, development and execution of Pork and Poultry strategies/tactics to enable and ensure that our businesses achieve top and bottom-line goals. The position reports to the Senior Vice President (SVP) Pork & Poultry and is located in the Durham, NC, Pork & Poultry US Commercial Headquarters (HQ).Responsibilities: Provide strategic thought partnership to the SVP on field sales strategy and operations, specifically: sales incentives, deployment, sales force automation, business/financial FF analytics, sales budget development and expense management/control, sales career pathing, developmental planning and performance coaching. Lead the necessary alignment across the HQ supporting groups – Business Technology (BT), Global Manufacturing Supply (GMS), Operations, Finance, and HR. Primary Pork and Poultry interface with senior leaders in Cattle/Equine and Petcare business units, and serve as a liaison between sales, technical teams and marketing to coordinate efficient communications and maximize sales and operational execution initiatives across the portfolio. Responsible to be overall program lead for continued evolution of Pork and Poultry Strategic Account Management, providing leadership of an effective and consistent approach with ongoing program evaluation for the Key Account Manager team. Primary “voice” of the FF within the LT, and represents the perspectives of the Pork National Sales Director (NSD) and the Poultry Regional Business Directors (RBD) within the field and HQ. Additional responsibilities beyond Sales, supporting the SVP and Pork and Poultry LT on any/all initiatives spanning multiple functions strategically within the business, include: * Coordinate strategic/tactical communications * Provide sales insights, share feedback for brand initiatives * Ensure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform and materials exceed needs of sales force and customer * Lead collaboration with Marketing to create critical new tools to support selling process * Coordinate/Lead facilitation of National Sales Meeting for Pork and Poultry * Enable/Support RBDs, NSD, and Key Account Managers with analytics * Liaise between FF Sales and Strategic Pricing to create fluid/easy process for Strategic Account contract execution for large complex customers * Evolve FF career path that attracts, motivates, retains and promotes talent * Assure Pork and Poultry receive coaching to meet competencies for delivery of strategic plans * Collaborate with Sales Learning & Development and Strategic Account Leadership for consistent onboarding program, and build, execute and maximize training of FF colleagues for Solution Selling and Strategic Account Management * Sales incentive support that ensures design to maximize focus on the critical few and deliver clarity in achievement against related goals and objectives for the FF * Provide oversight, actively manage sales phasing by region and quota development * Responsible for annual and latest estimate forecasts for sales revenues and operational expenses * Coordination with Marketing and Sales Leadership for development of annual Pork and Poultry Operating Plan * Lead for field sales input, planning, and coordination with Marketing to assure demand generation (product, service & customer incentive) programs designed for maximum execution of growth driving strategies * Ensure FF properly investing in, utilizing and allocating resources that will enable meeting demands of current business objectives * Partner with Biodevice & Automation Field Services, Engineering Leadership and RBDs to lead strategic vision and alignment within Pork and Poultry * Support Biodevices, Food Safety and Automation sales, engineering and manufacturing to ensure sales, installations and services are exceeding customer”s expectations and achieving goalsQualifications * Consistently proven track record in managing talent, executing designated initiatives, and creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance * Extensive knowledge of Zoetis products and animal health industry or ability to learn quickly * Ability to work in a cross-functional team-based environment, align with and influence internal/external stakeholders, and build/manage relationships at all levels of organization * Adept at working in highly fluid, complex, and ever changing environments * Drive strategy from insight and analytics to tactical execution and measure the results
