Buying Point Manager ? Clarksdale, MS GOLDEN PEANUT COMPANYThis is a Full Time, Exempt position Job ResponsibilitiesOrganize, schedule and handle farmer stock peanuts through the facility.Solicit and support Golden Peanut Company services in the local market area while maintaining an awareness of the competition.Hire, staff and train qualified employees.Perform pre-season and post-season maintenance.Market peanut seed.Negotiate contracts and contract proposals between producers and Golden Peanut Company for the local facility.Monitor and control pests and weeds.Minimize net weight and dollar value shrinkage.Maintain liaison with the Area Procurement Manager to stay up on managerial responsibilities and changes affecting producer sales and/or services.Monitor bailouts to ensure that they are handled effectively.Monitor and improve all quality aspects of farmerstock including drying, cleaning, handling, storing and loading out to meet the needs of the final customer.Assist in company crop reporting and the First Alert System.Instruct and monitor employees on following safety procedures and guidelines.Monitor Federal State inspection service to insure accurate grading of farmerstock at the time of acquisition.Promote Golden Peanut Company?s services in your local community.Job RequirementsTwo to five years of management experience supervising other employeesAn ability to market Golden?s goods and servicesInterpersonal skillsDecision making and analytical skillsAbility to delegateBasic mechanical and electrical skillsAn ability to remain calm under pressureAn ability to lead, direct and motivate employees.Public relations skillsDegree in Business, Agriculture or related field preferredComputer and Office SkillsRelocation assistance is available with this position.
