Contractor Services partners with Operations functions and business partners to develop and execute long term Procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
The Category Leader will implement supply strategy through market intelligence, sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation and supplier performance management, using ADMs 7-step sourcing process as well as eSourcing platforms and tools.
The Category leader will also develop processes to ensure stakeholder engagement and data-centered decision making. He/she will prepare non-disclosure agreements, requests for quotes/proposals and negotiate services contracts for contract labor.
Responsible for financial and operational performance within the Contractor Services.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in contractor labor spend management, health, safety and OSHA regulations, as well as the leadership, communication, and management skills required to effect change with major company initiatives across a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
The position involves negotiating ADM?s contract labor spend, monitoring contractor companies to ensure compliance with ADM?s insurance, pre-employment and random drug screening requirements, as well as financial risk and site access requirements and promotion of ADM?s Owner Controlled Insurance Program.
Familiarity with a variety of purchasing and contract services concepts, practices, and procedures is required.
Position relies on experience, judgment and a wide degree of creativity and self-sufficiency to plan and accomplish goals. 30 hour OSHA certification is a plus.
The ideal candidate will also have familiarity with multiple ADM systems including but not limited to; Maximo, the Contractor Timekeeping System, IBM (APGO, GLGO, NLGO, etc.), and the Contractor Data Management System.
The candidate must also be familiar with the Microsoft application suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Specific Responsibilities? Negotiate T&M cost plus and T&M fixed rate labor and equipment contracts with large multi-site and/or multi-million dollar contractor companies? Negotiate national rental equipment contracts? Ensure contractor companies working on-site in North America have satisfied the ADM Corporate requirements? Implement and support ADM?s Owner Controlled Insurance Program at relevant US sites.? Conduct on-site contractor site safety audits; reporting findings to plant and operations management? Initiate timelines and adherence measurements to project goals; building and driving teamwork across functional areas and tracking tangible savings metrics for operations? Focus on supporting ADM?s initiative to improve the cash conversion cycle by extending contractor payment terms or negotiating more favorable discounts ? Coordinates support from manufacturing plant resources to ensure schedule dates and issues are understood and in accordance with resource planning. ? Review terms and conditions in contractor bid proposals? On a regular basis prepare status report updates for the Global Manager Contractor Services Required CompetenciesBusiness/Technical Must acquire knowledge of ADM stakeholder?s functions/business and proactively anticipate their needs. Develop relationships with stakeholders and follow through on commitments. Must have knowledge and understanding of contractor business objectives and circumstances effecting their performance and viability so as to develop and execute strategy that will support/achieve ADM objectives while dealing fairly with ADM contractors. Understanding of business law and ability to negotiate rates, Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) to meet business needs.
Demonstrates ability to relate company level strategy to current position. Fundamental understanding of financial statements, general accounting & cash flow.
Proficient in the use of all common Office software applications.
Skilled in written and verbal communication.Must be able to effectively plan and execute strategy with limited supervision, develop and manage contingency plans and marshal adequate resources within and outside the department to accomplish goals and objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSAdvanced degree or equivalent experience in Contract Services Management, Operations, Business or Engineering. , A minimum of five (5) years professional experience is required.
