Idaho SUMMARYThe Category Manager 1 will assist with sourcing projects based on the category strategy and on demand projects from the respective stakeholders. Sourcing projects will follow a defined sourcing process and require strong project management and sourcing expertise. These activities include stakeholder communication, spend analytics, project charter development, sourcing strategy development & execution (RFX, focused negotiation, demand management, etc.) contracting, and operationalization of the contract with the stakeholder. The Category Manager 1 is responsible for helping establish a long term, 3 year category plan to drive value across the enterprise for the assigned spend area. This strategy development work is done in partnership with the various business unit stakeholders across the enterprise. Category strategies include spend analytics/mapping, external market analysis, vendor management, and establishing/managing a multi year project portfolio for low criticality, low complexity, and smaller sized spend categories. RESPONSIBILITIES* Initiate vendor research and solution exploration; conduct spend analysis, analyze external market drivers and contract with vendors to deliver stakeholder requirements. Continuously engage with contracted vendors to ensure delivery of services, quality, cost containment, and supply commitments. 30%* Implement sourcing projects and operationalization of contracts to realize company benefits. Partner with Procurement Service Line (PSL) to ensure new vendor setup and notify stakeholders of new vendor relationships / benefits. 20%* Learn and provide continuous Ariba training to the Global Procurement Team. Function as an SME and partner with the Procurement Excellence Team to develop training strategies, implement new system features / functionality and measure Ariba adoption and proficiency. 20%* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and procurement teams to develop and execute comprehensive category plan(s) for assigned spend. 10%* Manage a dynamic portfolio of projects and suppliers with a focus on AQSCIR. 10%* Initiate and execute contracting documents including MNDAs, MSAs and SOWs. Participate in and lead vendor relationship and performance management reviews, as required. 10% REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree from 4 year college or universityOne to three years related experience and/or training. Experience with Ariba, Power BI, Excel, contract review and negotiations, general procurement and training experience is a plus. Adheres to all standards, policies and systems as appropriate.
