CGB-DS Leadership and Development Leader

We are experiencing significant growth and are looking to add a key member to our learning and development team who has proven leadership skills and a passion for lifelong learning.About this role?Seeking an energetic, innovative candidate with significant experience leading in a learning environment. The best qualified candidate will have built ? from the ground up ? a learning and development program that has been successful, sustainable, and strategically vital to the businesses supported. He/She will need to be able to provide visionary, inspirational leadership as well as engage in the tactical work required to lead a growing people development function.??This position has overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the entire CGB-DS learning and development program. As we grow additional personnel will report to this position. This position reports to the CGB – Corporate Training Director.?Jacksonville, IL location: ability to travel as much as 25%.Remote location: ability to travel as much as 50%Primary Job Duties?Works closely with team to drive compliance with the established rules and regulations set by the Risk Management Association (RMA) and state Department of Insurance.Works closely with managers and agents to identify areas to establish strategies that ensure sufficient people development processes, programs, and practices meet current and future needs.Ability to create a strategic plan for the CGB-DS learning and development department as we continue to experience significant growth.Ability to create, conduct and facilitate crop insurance learning programs through a variety of delivery methods including classroom, distant learning and online modules.Ability to design and evaluate metrics and measurements that ensure ROI on people development initiatives. Ensure both business partners and HR partners understand learning goals, strategies, metrics and results achieved.Oversee the design, development and execution of the learning and development programs and processes.Ensure proper and consistent utilization of assessment tools, developmental plans, etc.Responsible for the tracking and logging of all learning and development to make certain all requirements are met.Assist in meeting company profit goals by ensuring linkage of people development efforts to company goals, priorities and initiatives.?Work with management in budget discussions.Position RequirementsRequired Qualifications?BS/BA degree in Agricultural, Business, Communication or Education and/or equivalent work experience.Experience in the Agricultural Industry.At least 3 years of experience leading a learning and development program.Strong strategic planning, program development, and project management experience.?Desired Qualifications?Prior success leading a business facing organization (ie, sales, marketing, merchandising, etc.).Successful experience in a growing, successful, complex business climate, especially one with a highly decentralized business with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.Knowledge of the federal crop insurance program.Apply for this job.
