SUMMARY:This position will be a part of our culinary team in the development of product, positioning and application solutions for national account customers. The position is charged with distilling available information into meaningful insights to recommend relevant growth opportunities for key Tyson customers. The position interacts closely with Tyson sales, marketing and research and development and with key customers research and development, marketing and operations functions. Working within sales, and in tandem with Marketing, R &D and Operations counterparts, this position is charged with helping the Tyson team to identify product solutions for our key customers and to position Tyson resources as a necessary component of the decision making process. The position provides culinary support to the Fresh Meat & Meal-Kit Brand Teams in the development of applications to meet the needs of various retail customers and consumer markets. This position is responsible for ideation, conceptualization, and prototype development for fresh meat & meal-kit innovation projects. Stay current on new food flavor trends and culinary-assist marketing business partners in effectively communicating them to the organization, works effectively with selected suppliers as necessary to select, and obtain or develop, ingredients such as flavors, colors, culture, condiments, package/containers in accordance with the specifications for a product, attending customer calls, delivering presentations and being a spokesperson for the organization, and recipe development, food styling and food photography.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinology or related subject required. Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is also required. Certified Culinary Scientist or Certified Research Chef through the Research Chef's Association preferred.Experience: 2-3 years of culinary experience in corporate/manufacturing environment required. 1-2 years of experience in restaurants or food service required.
