Position Summary: ADM Clinton Bioprocessing is seeking Chemical Process Operators for the production of fermentation products at our facility in Clinton, IA.
This position includes working a rotating shift as part of a team in a chemical manufacturing process including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
In this position you will:
Monitor and control process parameters to achieve desired product specifications by analyzing system controls, log sheets, and lab reports.Take samples of the product at various stages for lab analysis.Contribute to department production logs and reports reflecting production levels, maintenance requirements and related information.Monitor all equipment and systems to ensure proper mechanical operation and notify supervisor if repairs are needed.Take ownership for personal safety and safety of others through commitment to safe behaviors, a safe work environment, and adherence to safety policies and procedures.Contribute to plant safety programs including, but not limited to, the Lock Out / Tag Out program.Successfully complete all continuous education requirements including, but not limited to, safety and environmental rules and regulations, process equipment, controls and technologies.Communicate with other operators to troubleshoot process problems.Provide ideas to supervisors for process improvements.Job Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to provide feedback to peers and supervisors.High attention to detail.Knowledge of chemical and mechanical operations.Ability to read and understand technical drawings including P&ID?s (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and flow charts. General computer skills.High school diploma or GED required. Related college coursework is a plus. Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in utilities operations, continuous process operations and/or batch process operations.Windows-based DCS (Distributed Control System) or control terminal experience.Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders, lift 50 lbs., bend, kneel and stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, wear a face respirator, work at heights, in hot and cold temperatures, and in a dusty environment.Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
