Iselin, NJ Wherethe Chemistry Happens Locatedin Iselin, New Jersey, the Analytics and Materials Characterization group isdedicated to analytical problem solving through a variety of characterizationtechniques, including microscopy, spectroscopy, thermal analysis, elementalanalysis and physical testing. We specialize in the analysis of catalysts,energy materials and zeolites/molecular sieves. The laboratory is high volumeand fast paced environment, supporting the research of BASF scientistsglobally. In this role, you will support the research of BASF scientistsinvolved in heterogeneous catalysis R&D using XPS and Optical/Operandospectroscopies. Formula for Success Leveragingyour education in Chemistry and your analytical chemistry experience, you will usethe techniques of XPS, Thermal Analysis and Optical/Operando Spectroscopies togenerate critical information such as catalyst active centers, structure-function relationship, rootcause of deactivation, and reaction mechanism, which help guide BASF scientistsin their discovery efforts. Successfullyengaging across the organization, you will lead and complete analyticalrequests in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, requiring effectiveinteraction with multiple research groups involved primarily in heterogeneouscatalysis research.
