We currently have a Claims Manager position available at our Corporate Headquarters in Boise, ID. Boises mild climate, affordable housing, and vibrant downtown add up to a great place to live. SUMMARYThe Claims Manager assists the Director of Risk Management in the protection of corporate assets and is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of J.R. Simplot Company claims management programs. In this role the Claims Manager oversees all lines of claims, including Workers Compensation, General Liability, Auto Liability, Property and all other insurance related claims with the goal of achieving best possible outcomes by reducing claim costs and duration, while increasing process efficiency. The Claims Manager partners with various internal customers and teams including our various Business Units, Legal, Safety, HR and manages our TPA and Insurer claims department relationships as well as other external service providers. RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Claims Program Oversight and Direction: Develop claim management goals, opportunities, and objectives and implement responsive strategic plans based on business impact, available resources and budget.Claim Oversight: Guide continuous improvement of timely reporting and post-loss claim management. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to refine claim reporting processes; evaluate liability in complex or sensitive claims; coordinate claim reviews and strategy sessions.TPA and Carrier Oversight: Establish and maintain vendor relationships and measure performance of third party service providers. This may include negotiating service contracts, instructions or performance incentives; developing legal defense counsel panels, with objective and subjective evaluation of results; engaging audits and providing feedback regarding TPA adjuster performance; disseminating corporate news and information to vendors.Internal Liaison for Claim and Risk Programs: Coordinate and facilitate knowledge, action and information with internal stakeholders and employees. Responsibilities may include: Liaison to field operations; Liaison with Corporate departments; Resource and advocate for employees.Insurance and Coverage: Determine coverage position and interact with carriers on claim and coverage issues; monitor and direct TPA reporting and communications with excess carriers.Data Management, Analysis and Communication of Results: Direct, recommend and facilitate data analysis and metrics to measure program results and trends, identify opportunities and facilitate strategic planning. Develop and disseminate scheduled and ad hoc reports and dashboards; provide recommended action steps to recipients. Comfortable utilizing internal and external Claims and Risk Management Information Systems.REQUIREMENTSBachelors degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Risk Management or Finance.Experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.Multi-lines claim management experience with Workers Compensation emphasis in a corporate risk management department, insurer, insurance broker, TPA, or litigation practice is required. At least 10 years of claim management experience and claim program management with a major corporation. CPCU, ARM, AIC designation or law degree is helpful. Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.
