Monsanto Chemistry develops advanced technologies to enable growth and development of Monsanto???s crop protection business. Excellence in collaborations management is essential for deriving maximum value from our Chemistry partnerships to advance next generation crop protection tools through our product pipeline and on to the farms of our grower customers. Monsanto seeks a highly talented individual to fill the role of Chemistry Collaborations Manager to advance our efforts in successfully leading the oversight of our active collaborations docket through effective partnerships with stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring together scientific technical aptitude with the ability to effectively manage existing collaborations and support existing processes to initiate new agreements. The Collaborations Manager will contribute toward goals in three key areas: post-execution agreement management, agreement obligation governance and agreement topic training and education. Daily responsibilities will include oversight of Chemistry???s existing agreement docket, planning and facilitation of key collaboration agreement meetings, and development of agreement training materials. The Collaborations Manager will work closely with colleagues in Chemistry, Technology Alliances Team (TAT), Intellectual Property (IP) Law Team as well as external parties to effectively move collaborations forward, meeting agreement objectives and obligations. Minimum of a Bachelor???s degree in chemistry, biology/microbiology, or related scientific discipline ??? Minimum of five or more years of relevant experience in collaborations management or project management ??? Demonstrated past success in establishing and maintaining relationships amongst leadership, peers and external parties ??? Ability to lead through influence to deliver project/collaboration milestones ??? Experience creating and implementing operational improvements to drive efficiency ??? Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects ??? Excellent oral and written communication skills ??? Proficiency in utilization of Microsoft Office applications Desired Education & Skills/Experience: ??? Master???s degree or higher in chemistry, biology/microbiology, or related scientific discipline ??? Project management training and three or more years of experience in leading complex, high-value projects ??? Experience working with a legal department in a corporate setting ??? Proficiency in collaborations management software tools (SharePoint, Nintex, etc.) Who is Monsanto?
