He/she reports to the VP, CD/LCI.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Execute against and revise as needed the Swine/Poultry Species Innovation Strategies and ensure increasing portfolio value * Provide timely input and align the organization to any changes in product profiles and valuations * Identify new opportunities for growth or to fill “gaps” for the Swine/Poultry business inclusive of Business Development and External Innovation * Partner with Research and Development, Manufacturing and Commercial and align the organization to key decisions and commitments, including valuations of products and forecasts. * For select assets, lead global market and asset development planning and global launch planning. * Ensure forward looking lifecycle plans are in place an implemented for all key products/molecules including LOE planning. * Conduct timely strategic reviews of key Swine/Poultry therapeutic areas (including competition) that will foster increased organizational knowledge of those areas and communicate regular updates to senior leaders and the organization. * Via best practice sharing, maximize key inline brands and overall long-term brand health * Provide input to CD/LCI processes and procedures. * Mentor and develop team membersEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 12 years of experience in in-line Animal Health or Human Pharmaceutical Marketing including responsibility for a therapeutic area. Swine and/or Poultry experience is an important consideration. B.S required. MBA preferred * Experience with new product development and knowledge of the product development process. * Track record of successful new product launches * Extensive undestanding of market research in all phases of product development required including opportunity identification, commercial assessment and implementation and product planning * Acute focus on cost-effectiveness, speed, continuous improvement and value creation * Experience representing opportunities to senior leadership required * Hands-on experience leading valuation, forecasting, business proposals and/or other projects. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Some international travel required
