Commercial Feed Delivery Driver-Night Shift
?Job DescriptionSummary:Drives feed truck with capacity of more than thirty (30) tons transporting materials to and from specified feed mill and farm destinations by performing the following duties.?Essential Duties and Responsibilities:SAFETYWear seatbelt anytime vehicle is in motionSafely operate tanker-type tractor/trailer unit with high center of gravityFollow required and recommended safety practices and proceduresReport all accidents promptly through proper authorities.Wear appropriate PPE in designated areas.?OPERATIONSSuccessfully complete a Road Test and be issued a certificateProperly Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspect the equipmentWork in single driver environment ? ? ? ??Handle shipping documents to insure accuracy and timely submissionPosition equipment properly to safely offload feed into feed binsDrive day/night in variety of climates and trafficUse on-board computerMaintain logs, DVIR, itinerary, and other paperwork as requiredFuel equipment and extract on-board computer (or turns in logs) dailyPre-load trailer for next shift.??PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to pass DOT physical upon initial hireMust be able to climb feed bins to check feed inventory occasionallyMust be able to shovel and clean up feed spills that occur from time to time and able to lift 50 # without difficulty??COMMUNICATIONSComplete all required information on the CDL Driver Application For EmploymentBe able to read and speak the English languageBe able to understand highway traffic signs and signalsBe able to respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and recordsHandle shipping documents to insure accuracy and timely submissionUse Farm Directions Book, maps or GPS to avoid getting lost or going out-of-routeBe able to converse with our business associated to resolve problems in a civil mannerBe able to calculate simple mathematical problems dealing with feed delivery.?COMPLIANCEComply with all Bio-Security (BMS) and Environmental (EMS) management system's rules and regulationsComply with DOT rules and regulationsComply with all M-B established policies and proceduresNo DOT Recordable preventable accidents within the last three (3) years with a CMVNo more than one (1) moving violation within the last three (3) years?Education and/or Experience Requirements:Meet DOT requirementsAt least 21 years of ageNo DUI/DWI in last 10 yearsMeet minimum requirements to operate a CMV and have a current valid CDL issued from only one stateKnowledgeable of FMCSR1 year CDL experience desired or completion of 3rd Party TrainingFeed delivery experience desired?Apply for this job.
