The Commercial Leader for McDonalds leads the Cargill oil business with North American McDonald’s system.  This position provides strategic direction and strong project leadership for the business specific to our relationship with the McDonald’s Corporation and aligned with McDonalds brand goals.  Position delivers through exceptional customer commitment backed by passion for flawless execution in the McDonald’s System. Responsible for delivering and evolving the Cargill Value proposition that differentiates our services and earns dominant share and profitable volume.  This position scope includes U.S., Canada and Mexico. Scope of responsibilities include but are not limited to strategic innovation, pricing, supply chain management, risk management, operations, Sustainability and brand trust/quality.  Ensures internal alignment and execution is in line with customer expectations. Responsible for nurturing effective customer relationships across McDonald’s North America.Integral team member of Cargill’s MBU global oils team, working collaboratively across critical global initiatives like RFP’s, problem solving via best practice sharing, taking leadership to elevate Cargill brand at McDonald’s.  The North American oils leader is a key member of the NA oils leadership team and is responsible for commercial management of McDonalds business across Cargill North American facilities.   30% Strategic Relationship Management:  Build, nurture, and leverage relationships across a very broad spectrum of people, roles, levels of responsibility, and diverse geographies, to include supply chain, quality systems, marketing, public affairs, sustainability, menu innovation, franchisee community, etc.  The end result would be to strengthen our dominant supply position in North America.30% Manage and deliver Sales and Profitability:  Develop and maintain global pricing strategy and protocol.  Manage costs for all current and new products and ensure Cargill maintains return expectations on McDonalds’ business.  Ensure transparency internally and externally for all costs and related pricing implications20% Lead NA McD planning, strategy and implementation in Cargill NA Business – deliver on goals in volume, margin and revenue. Oversee internal supplier relationships and ensure suppliers meet Cargill and McDonald’s standards; retain and grow commodity customer business, develop risk management positions to provide price stability and cost savings to McDonald’s; and continuous improvement of business processes to protect and build Cargill and McDonald’s brand trust20% Strengthen and effectively communicate Cargill value proposition to maintain Cargill’s position as preferred supplier of choice. #LI-JK1 Skills: Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA preferred.  Consideration of relevant technical discipline, e.g., chemistry, food science, chemical engineering, biochemistry  Minimum 10 years general operations management experience OR minimum 10 years lead accountability for customer relationship management experience in fats/oils.Effective management of business across P&L and functions (technical, ops, etc.)Strategic Account Management.  Strong emotional quotient demonstrated across customers of different backgrounds (cultural, work experience).Strong Commercial skills and knowledgeStrong financial/analytical skillsFlexibility to deal with ambiguity and changing environments, people and business conditions.Strategic Agility – has broad knowledge and perspective, can see clearly ahead to envision possibilities with breakthrough strategies and plans.Business Acumen – understands how businesses work and are knowledgeable about brands, consumer trends, technology and information regarding his/her business.  Proven problem solver.Negotiation skills – skilled in negotiating tough situations internally and externally, and wins concessions without damaging relationships while being forceful and pragmatic and diplomatic.  Deals well with ambiguity – manages risks comfortably by shifting gears agily and making decisions without all information available.Drives For Results – can be relied upon to deliver above expectations goals consistentlyListening – Active and attentive listening.Ability to influence at senior levels of organizations  Ability to adapt to McDonald’s complex corporate structure and environmentServing Culture – strong team orientation that is externally focusedDemonstrated ability to build and engage high performing teamsNegotiation and issues management Ability to travel domestically and internationally
