Commercial Lines P&C Servie Account Manager
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our CHS Insurance team. We are looking for a Commercial Lines P&C Service Account Manager to work in tandem with the Insurance Sales team to reach the agency?s new business and retention sales goals for mid-size to large accounts that are moderately to highly complex in nature. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrate a high attention to detail and be able manage competing priorities to meet all required deadlines. You will: Act as first line of contact for clients in reviewing and responding to questions regarding coverage, billing, endorsements, cancellations or audit disputes.Cultivate relationships with clients at all levels from key decision makers to day-to-day representatives by making regularly-scheduled calls and providing excellent service.Work with key client contacts to identify operational changes and gather all relevant data as well as new applications for ancillary lines of coverage.Collaborate with the sales team during pre-renewal meetings to set strategy for the client?s renewal.Prepare and manage all marketing activity with insurance markets as directed by the Sales Team.Identify important client needs, as well as cross-selling and up-selling opportunities and effectively communicate those needs to the Sales Team. Create customized client proposals in collaboration with Sales.Communicate and hold Sales accountable for providing carrier submission and contract binding requirements along with other agency standards.Provide direction to representatives for tasks including processing renewal packets, submissions, binding documents, endorsement requests and cancellations as well as essential data entry or schedule.Build and cultivate relationships with insurance underwriters and marketing contacts to work through renewal negotiations, coverage gaps, claims issues and additional services or policy purchases.Place collection calls to client on all outstanding aged accounts receivables.Maintain a broad level of knowledge and understanding regarding coverages, industry information, marketplace changes and internal procedures to continuously improve knowledge, performance and consultative selling.Maintain agency documentation, files, suspense and follow up within the document management system.Review coverage information and properly document all correspondence for Errors and Omissions control.Work as a team to achieve agency goals.
Act as a backup during absences and peak work periods.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree (additional years of related experience may offset degree requirement)5 plus years customer service and/or claims experience in Commercial LinesActive Property & Casualty Insurance Producer LicenseAdvanced proficiency with primary commercial coverage lines and intermediate proficiency with ancillary linesAbility to travel up to 10% of the timePreferred Qualifications: (desired)Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or equivalent designationKnowledge in agribusiness industryExperience using AMS360, BenefitPoint or WorkSmartCommercial Lines agency or managing general agent (MGA) experienceExperience working in an automated and paperless environment
