ARCHER DANIELS MIDLAND COMPANYPERM LABOR CERTIFICATIONEXTERNAL WEBSITECOMMERCIAL MANAGER-DRY HONEY & ECOMMERCE Commercial Manager-Dry Honey & Ecommerce Archer Daniels Midland Company is seeking Commercial Managers-Dry Honey & Ecommerce for its Decatur, IL location to provide commercial oversight to the dry honey business and help company Sweeteners build and implement their inaugural Ecommerce strategy and capabilities for direct to consumer promotion and marketing. Purchase raw materials for the dried sweetener business. Gather competitive intelligence about the dry sweetener market landscape. Develop and implement pricing, sales, and marketing strategies. Assist operations management with plant scheduling and logistics. Work with operations management in analysis and justification for capital investments. Communicate and consult with business unit and division management in regards to market conditions and other business issues. Manage overall financial results of the dry sweetener business. Collaborate with Marketing, Insights/Analytics, Sales, Product management teams, vendors, and agencies to align Ecommerce sweetener brand identity objectives into digital/social strategies and tactical plans. Manage internal processes and external vendors to ensure we have updated digital product content and data attributes for all relevant company sweetener, starch and acidulant products across Ecommerce channels and execute the strategy through the use of agencies, company resources and individual knowledge of Ecommerce. Build and implement measurement plans that demonstrate delivery against business & initiative objectives, and support continuous improvement/optimization. Inform other teams at the company on Ecommerce strategy. Keep informed of industry news, technologies, trends and opportunities, piloting and implementing emerging technologies for Ecommerce. Drive development of Ecommerce creative (in partnership with Marketing), and ensure the Ecommerce experience is on-brand and aligned with marketing to drive acquisition, sales, and retention. Respond to marketplace questions. Utilize third party tools to generate reviews and track customer feedback. Work with company management to identify and define markets, channels, products, and pack sizes, and implement them through building out Ecommerce platform. Analyze company's performance against international trends and market data to forecast the direction of the marketplace. Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements, and monitor customer preference. Utilize experience with working with business unit and division management involving market conditions and other business issues; working with multi-functional teams and external agency and/or vendor partners; gathering, analyzing, and acting upon competitive market intelligence; preparing financial reports in accordance with accounting practices; and analyzing consumer online behavior, trends and market analysis. Position Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field and two (2) years of experience as Sales Manager, Merchandiser, or related sales occupation. This position also requires two (2) years of experience with the following: working with business unit and division management involving market conditions and other business issues; working with multi-functional teams and external agency and/or vendor partners; gathering, analyzing, and acting upon competitive market intelligence; preparing financial reports in accordance with accounting practices; and analyzing consumer online behavior, trends and market analysis. Position also requires up to 10% of national travel.
