Communications and Operations Coordinator
Applicants must insert Communications Coordinator in the subject line of email responses.Position Title:Communications and Operations CoordinatorReports To:General ManagerPosition Purpose:Responsibilities include development and oversight of a comprehensive Communication Plan to address the current and future needs of the Cooperative Membership.? Maintain Membership books and records assist in the preparation of monthly and annual reports and assist General Manager as needed.?? Communicate and Coordinate operations plans to mill members.? Collect and analysis market data as related to the operations of the Cooperative.?Essential Functions:Development and implement an effective communication plan for cooperative members.Coordinate communication with Board Members and Executive staff.Collect and maintain membership records.Establishes and maintains positive, professional relationships with leaders, growers, factories, and producers of the sugar industry.Promotes positive public relations by assuring that the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in a strong, favorable image to the general public, stockholders, growers, and land owners.Researches, collects data, and provides assistance with special projects, such as government regulations, construction projects and other projects as they arise.Assist the General Manager whenever need or warrantedSecondary Duties:Supports operations and administration of Board of Directors by assisting General Manager with advising and informing Board members, interfacing between Board and staff, and preparing meeting agendas and reports for meetings of the Board of Directors.Performs other additional tasks as may be appropriately assigned or requested.?Supervisory Responsibilities:Potential oversees and or supervises office personnel.?Physical Requirements:While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; use manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard, calculator, and telephone; talk and hear; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.??Minimum Requirements:Education:Bachelor's Degree in communications, business or related field; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience / EducationAgricultural background?or experience with communicating with Farmers and/or Ranchers is a must.Technical SkillsAbility to operate computer, using spreadsheets, such as Excel and other accounting software, Power Point, Word, Internet/Email, and other business software, as well as custom Windows database.? ??? Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.Ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization and industry and must possess excellent communication and diplomacy skills.Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to the Board and industry leaders.?Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is generally in a typical office environment and is not exposed to weather conditions. Some local travel around Louisiana may be required.? The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.?Hours of Work:This is a full-time, exempt position, requiring 40+ hours per week. Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; Additional hours, weekends or holiday work may also be required.?Apply for this job.
