Developing strategies for utilizing advanced analytics and machine learning in protein design Dates for this internship are May 13-August 2 of 2019Qualifications:Required:Minimum of a B.S. in Biochemistry, Computational Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology or related field and three or more years in a Ph.D. programWorking knowledge of the experimental and computational aspects of protein structure/function and engineeringAbility to script and program in a modern programming language Strong knowledge of algorithms used for computational design/analysis of proteinsExceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, precise, and actionable mannerDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral) with proven ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, precise and actionable manner to diverse teams at all levels of the organization Preferred:Experience with large, complex datasetsWorking knowledge of machine learning algorithmsKnowledge of wet lab techniques in protein biochemistryWorking knowledge of experimental design and statistical methodsExperience with R and Python programming languages
