This position is responsible for scoping, planning, execution and financial accountability of the company's construction team which serves internal and external customer project needs. The Construction Services manager will have direct leadership and responsibility for a team of approximately 12 technically qualified individuals including 2 to 3 direct reports. Success in the position will require a high level of planning, coordination and communication with internal and external business partners across six states. Responsible for managing a multi-million dollar spend and sales annually. ?Major Areas of Accountability:Lead the construction team in project development for internal and external customer's through scoping, planning and execution phase of project management.Contribute to capital spending strategy with key organizational leaders by providing cost estimates, preparing budgets and delivering projects within budget.Present information on new technologies and innovation leading to improved animal performance, asset lifecycle, labor efficiencies, and/or cost savings opportunities.Maintain and execute all aspects of contractual relationships. Ensures contracts are established according to standard business expectations and controls. Handle contractual disputes in a professional and timely manner.Manage effective relationships with business partners and associated stakeholders. (ex. production operations managers, accounting, supply chain, maintenance and reliability team, business development, and asset administration).Manage effective and mutually beneficial working relationships with vendors and contractors across five states.Manage a professional and effective team and provide resources to help monitor and assess the quality and quantity of work being achieved.Provide high level of customer service and professionalism standards within and outside the construction team.Provide updates to Director of Asset Management on work priorities, schedules, progress, and budgets.Initiate improvements through and with the operational managers and site superintendents.Meet or exceed all budgets and goals; including approving budgets, reviewing and approving status reports, monitoring pricing, and reviewing costs data.Implement safety programs which comply with federal, state and organizational standards.
