CHS has an exciting opportunity in our CHS Hedging group. We are looking for a Consulting Associate to focus on the services offered by our Russell Consulting Group. You must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and have the flexibility to adapt to a changing work environment and possess an aptitude to learn new strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial materials in a way to promote understanding and to the lead audience to the desired outcome is essential. You will:Support and solicit farm clients (both crop and livestock) in regard to financial and marketing consulting services. Provide an independent, unbiased consulting service helping to build unique cropping, financial and marketing plans.Create risk management and income protection for farmers with combined abilities of the CHS Hedging group.Perform market analysis of all commodities to support hedging and trading decisions which maximize profit potential while effectively managing the risk of our clients in production agriculture.Collaborate with other CHS divisions offering services to farmers.Provide customer service to retain and expand current business plus solicit new business.Develop opportunities in hedging, basis trading, transportation planning and government programs.Responsibility for market positions and delivery for all assigned accounts and/or commodities.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor’s degree1 plus year of experience in the grain or livestock marketsNational Futures Association (NFA) Series 3 and 30 certified as well as be NFA registerable or ability to obtain within first 2 months of employmentKnowledge of agriculture production methods, grain/livestock/dairy marketing and able to compose market/commodity reportsAbility to travel up to 30%Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: (preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business or related fieldApply for this job.
