Continuous Improvement Analyst, Re-engineering Global Business Services- Decatur, ILThis is an exempt level position Position Summary: The Continuous Improvement Analyst, Global Business Services (GBS) will provide support to the leadership for ADM?s growing GBS operations and will ensure consistent, compliant, effective and efficient processes.
This individual will play a key role in the design and the implementation of ADM?s GBS processes. Reporting to the Manager of Re-Engineering GBS, the position will require significant process excellence expertise concerning GBS operations relating to multi-functional and end-to-end processes as GBS expands globally.
The position will require extensive and effective communication within the GBS organization and across functions including: financial, human resource, IT, and operational colleagues.
The position will partner with global counterparts to implement best practices across all GBS sites.
The position will assist in the improvement of processes and play a key role in plan design and lead and project manage improvement. The position will assist and at times lead the re-engineering of existing tasks through implementing automation, process changes, and/or revised workflows to insure downstream process accuracy.
Will investigate complex requirements and will be principal in researching regulations, policies, regarding specific GBS processes to eliminate/reduce errors.
Position will involve a significant amount of project management leadership, independent thinking, judgment and decision making.Responsibilities: The Continuous Improvement Analyst GBS will be responsibility for project management in the evaluation of all current and future GBS processes.
Overseeing the critical evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Research and advice GBS colleagues concerning the treatment and optimal process flow of complex transactions.
Work closely with cross functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for efficiencies and explain the ?why? behind change.
Establish processes and procedures to deliver required service levels, and implement process optimization and remediationResponsible for documentation standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal controls for all GBS center processes.
Assist the GBS leadership team to create a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence.
Liaise and coordinate with global GBS?s and continue to globalize processes and leverage best practices in the GBS space.Job Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management preferably in a Shared Service/Global Business Services environment.Minimum 1 year of process re-engineering experience
Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional management (Commercial, Operations, Support, etc.)Ability to implement best practices in global environment; commitment to driving competitive advantage while reducing costs, improving quality, and managing risks. Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment. Ability to prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm and effective under pressure. Critically evaluate, research, and audit processes to insure accuracy and process excellence.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneouslyBroad subject matter proficiency in multi-functional processes and understanding of their impacts on downstream processes. Drive and challenge business units and other departments on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans with specific focus on end to end execution and impact on downstream processes/systems.Provide subject matter expertise on projects for small and large scale system implementations, conversions and development. Ability to correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the process to ensure that the desired results are produced. Capable to create and contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users. Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation of various processes and programs. Work with internal resources and external vendors to resolve complex issues. Relocation assistance is available with this position.
