Continuous Improvement Leader, Mobile AL
DuPont is looking for a Continuous Improvement Leader in our Mobile, AL Crop Protection manufacturing plant. The Continuous Improvement Leader???s primary role is that of change agent/leader, facilitator, coach, TRACC expert, and project leader for continuous improvement. The intent for this work is movement towards a defined focused improvement organization that results in sustainable performance improvements. Responsibilities included, but not limited to:Ensures that all Continuous Improvement work is aligned with DuPont???s core values Leads and coaches others towards in the site???s progress towards interdependenceEnsures clarity of the change vision and the focused improvement effortManages prioritization and project management processes to achieve desired results A large portion of the work will be done in a collaboratory manner with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization, with the primary focus being setting up effective decision boards at the shop floor, Unit and site level and leading and driving chartered, prioritized projects to enable the site to meet critical objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Following is the high-level standard work for this position: Unit decision board coach ??? Attend team meetings; provide TRACC technical expertise; coach the Decision Board and leader; help them with ???what good looks like??? and in the use of tools and standards; and facilitate the acquisition of information and the removal of roadblocksObserve shift and asset team meetings. Coach leaders and teams towards site standards and best practices around the continuous improvement triangle and decision boards Implement with MLT an additive and effective decision board, work management, and focused improvement processFurther the use of visual management and leaders standard workLead COT, KPI and work prioritization processes Report site metrics to site and above site required forums Champion waste eliminationFacilitate and/or support team continuous improvement and problem solving sessions in a way that builds capability in the team. Assist the team with the creation of one-pagers charter projects and to commemorate and share success Deliver content and coach others in their deliveryConduct coaching line walks with teams of all levelsLeverage and collaborate with offsite Continuous Improvement resources and the CoE Sell the vision, champion meaningful engagement and communication, and build organizational prideOther duties and projects will be assigned as neededQualifications:Qualifications: Bachelor degree required (technical or scientific field preferred) A minimum of 5 years of continuous improvement experience OR a minimum of 10 years industrial experiencePrevious experience working in a plant environment is requiredGreen Belt certification or higher preferredTraining of the Trainer preferredExperience as a line leader, supervisor, or project team leader Experience managing projects from start to finishDemonstrated behavior/performance aligned with core values Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills (sensitivity to individual and team needs)Ability to communicate with impact Demonstrated ability to give and receive effective feedbackStrong project management and team leadership skills Above average public speaking skills Strong problems solving skills ??? brainstorming, 5Y, fishbone, etc. Strong Microsoft Office skills Good understanding of continuous improvement triangle and TRACC best practices Scope of Position This position is in operations and reports to the Mobile Site Manufacturing Technology Manager.There are no direct supervisory responsibilities Work with all levels and functions of the site is required Working ConditionsWork iApply for this job.
