The Controller will serve as the most senior Finance/Accounting professional and will work with the General Manager, Management Team and the Board of Directors to improve the Company?s financial controls, reporting and analytical capabilities. The Controller will have direct responsibility for managing all accounting activities, while instituting best practices and efficiencies that will lead to increased growth and profitability.?Key responsibilities are to maintain the organic integrity of the company. Oversee all company accounting and finance functions. Responsible for company financials in QuickBooks (or other software). Lead budget development and provide strategic guidance on opportunities for improvement and investment. Manage banking relationships including borrowing base submission and monthly reporting/compliance requirements.? Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in a timely manner.? Update General Manager and Board of Directors on financial performance of the company.? Lead the development and periodic preparation of Key Performance Indicators to manage the business.? Manage cash flow, including preparing Cash Flow Forecasts and creating recommendations to improve cash flow to reduce revolving credit line, as well as requesting cash draws, deposits and wire transfers.? Manage company expenses and cash requirements, including authorizing automated ACH withdrawals, overseeing company credit card usage, and creating monthly employee expense and company overhead expense reports.? Guide financial decisions and protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.? Work with Office Manager on biweekly payroll (administered by third party), administration of company benefits plan accounting, and annual worker?s compensation insurance audits.? Responsible for payroll and benefits administration.? Comply with customer/vendor requirements including financial reporting to vendors. Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements and ensure future compliance by studying new legislation.
