CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Corporate Accounting group. We are looking for a Corporate Accountant to manage first-level general accounting and related functions to ensure accurate and timely financials. You must be detail-oriented, dependable, a team player and a self-starter with multi-tasking proficiency and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will:Reconcile bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis; communicate with various accounting and banking personnel to resolve open items and minimize outstanding items.Monitor and advise bank personnel on positive pay items to prevent fraudulent checks.Perform daily, monthly and quarterly accounting processes and functions as assigned, including: reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, manual journal entries, payment processing, assistance in internal and external audit processes and others as needed.Prepare monthly reporting on Corporate expenses comparing actual results to budgeted amounts.Prepare and maintain a list of checks to be transferred to state governments as unclaimed property. Comply with all state unclaimed property regulations.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditionsBasic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree in AccountingKnowledge of the following:Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Unclaimed property reporting and filing?Financial consolidation of multiple entitiesFinancial statement presentation and disclosure Preferred Qualifications: (preferred)2+ years of Accounting experiencePublic accounting experienceExperience with SAP and associated consolidation tool BPCApply for this job.
