Correspondent Account Executive
AgStar is seeking a Correspondent Account Executive who will enhance the profitability of the Home Mortgage Services (HMS) portfolio by representing the Rural Living home mortgage product on a national basis. The individual will identify and develop relationships with prospective banks and brokers; negotiate and authorize contracts and agreements; and manage the ongoing relationships and activities. The Correspondent Account Executive will build strong client/partner relationships with proven loan volume and client satisfaction results. They will ensure all Rural Living operations and activities are carried out in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position works directly as an account specialist for third parties approved into the AgStar Rural Living program. The individual must remain informed of short and long term market conditions, lending trends, and other developments within the mortgage lending industry in order to assist in HMS strategy development. They will serve as a resource and primary trainer/educator for approved banks and brokers selling AgStar’s Home Mortgage Rural Living products. Successful candidates for this position will have:a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture, related field or equivalent work experienceminimum of ten years of sales experience in the financial services industry;demonstrated understanding of community banking and home mortgage industry;must have solid sales and marketing skills;must have advanced analytical, solid problem solving, and negotiating skills;position requires effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, leadership, conflict resolution, and strategic selling skills;computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.) and other related applications;proven client service skills and effective team skills are essential.AgStar, a leading financial services cooperative of the Farm Credit System, has been named one of the Top Workplaces of Minnesota through an employee survey conducted by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
