We are seeking an enthusiastic andmotivated Cotton Breeder professional to join our AgriculturalProducts Division (APN). Cotton Breeder ? Georgia ? Dawson, GA As a Cotton Breeder, you will serve asa thought leader, work with cutting edge technology, and biometrics in ourDawson, GA breeding site. You will lead a small breeding team and collaborate aspart of a larger team. Formula for Success: You Will?The primary responsibilities of thisrole, Cotton Breeder, are to:? Aspart of the global breeding team, collaborate with digital breeding, breeders,and breeding management to lead, develop and execute a breeding programstrategy to meet Eastern business goals.? Supervise breeding staff in terms ofbudgets and resource allocations in a manner that builds a strong, functionalteam, keeps projects with budget and on-time, and implements the seed businessstrategy. Will lead a breeding team consisting of an Assistant Breeder and aTechnician.? Responsiblefor technical aspects in measuring and capitalizing on genetic gain? Communicatesdata and recommends lines for advancement, collaborates with the commercialbreeding team on commercial variety recommendations.? Ensurecompliance with all existing QHSE, QMS, Stewardship, and Regulatory standards.Ingredients for Success: What We Look Forin You?? PhD(degree in plant breeding, genetics, biology, or related field) with 4 years plantbreeding experience; OR MS (degree in plant breeding, genetics, biology, orrelated field) with 8 years plant breeding experience.? Handson knowledge of marker technology, biostatistics and genomic selection.? Marketoriented with knowledge of varietal development from hybridization to Breederseed increases.? Teamplayer with a positive attitude. Canfacilitate teamwork among colleagues and team members.? Abilityto solve complex issues related to agronomic and breeding practices throughproper experimental statistical designs and interpretation.? Abilityto deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Ability to handle multiple projectssimultaneous. ? Excellentorganization skills, communication skills and attention to detail.?
