Creative Lead (Creative Director)- Digital
Position Purpose & SummaryCargill is seeking a seasoned creative director who can consult, conceptualize, and lead a creative team to develop and execute on digital campaigns and content across a wide range of platforms. As part of the Digital and Social Communications team, you will build partnerships with stakeholders across the organization to help tell the Cargill story in modern, innovative and strategic ways. This position requires strong storytelling skills and video production sensibilities, leadership and mentoring skills, proven communication and presentation expertise. This position will lead a global team of multimedia professionals providing creative direction, guidance and production scheduling while also helping to shape a creative framework for the department. Principal Accountabilities40% Develop creative digital campaigns and content Partner with Corporate, Business, Function, Regional, Country and Group level communications professionals to produce amazing digital, multi-platform creative content. Creative content that engages internal and external audiences through story-telling and best-in-class techniques in support of business goals and the Corporate Narrate. Liaise with Corp. Responsibility and Gov’t Relations practice areas on creative content strategies. Align with Brand team to infuse and ensure proper brand treatment of all Digital content.Lead the creative development for communication efforts with direct responsibilities for concept development, creative direction, and tactical executions Work closely with our and third party producers, editors, shooters, animators, account teams and admin teams to ensure projects are on track, on budget, and aligned in scopeBuild cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment on deliverable quality and creative direction that aligns and delivers against Cargill standardsArticulate creative solutions effectively and passionately across cross-functional teams and senior leadershipPlay a role in creative brainstorming across the Digital and Social Communications team and confidently take that brainstorm into execution with Cargill’s business strategy and objectives in mind35% Develop and maintain a creative digital process and framework Establish a global creative digital framework, enabling staff to effectively develop, edit and produce best-in-class digital content. Develop intake, storyboarding, creative brief, and any other deliverables necessary in support of process framework. Partner with Digital and Social leads to develop ongoing working relationships for content delivery on internal and external channels. Help establish, lead, and facilitate a team wide creative process ranging from project inception to executionPartner with development teams, internal brand teams, and strategy teams to ensure all creative meets platform and business requirementsResponsible for finding and building working relationships with new creative and production vendors, as well as strengthening partnerships with current vendors, to conceive/execute campaigns20% Manage global team of multimedia professionals Direct work product, provide feedback, training and coaching aligned to Cargill’s leadership expectationsManage and creatively lead a growing global team of 5 producers to execute promotional videos/films and other digital media with a focus around telling engaging stories for our digital and non-digital channelsResponsible for department's talent recruitment, development, training and retention5% Stay current on new digital technology and find opportunities to innovate Continuous evaluation of new digital trends and opportunities in communications, software, and technology. Participating in conferences, evaluation of 3rd party vendors and products. Adapt to and incorporate new methods.
