Credit Analyst – Global Supply, Chemistry and Canada – #01I0O
The Global Finance Organization at Monsanto has an exciting opportunity available for a Credit Analyst to join our team! This role will lead all credit management related processes including establishment of credit lines, risk mitigation efforts, and accounts receivable management for the $2B Global Supply, Chemistry, and Canada account portfolio. The leadership team relies heavily on this Credit Analyst position to be a trusted business partner for the organization and provide financial guidance to proactively manage risks. Responsibilities in this role includeAnalyzes customer credit, financial, and industry information to establish customers' credit limits permitting highest profitable sales while limiting exposureCollaborates with Customers, Business and Sales Account Managers to develop, communicate, and execute credit strategiesCoordinates Global, Chemistry, and Canada account credit line reviewsForecasts and budgets all transactions impacting Accounts Receivable, including prepay, collections, and refundsProvides technical credit solutions to a wide range of difficult business problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with business objectivesLead various projects that include business process improvement and enhanced financial reporting in support of the business goals and objectivesEvaluates and recommends enhancements in Credit policies and procedures governing the functionResponsible for the proper implementation and execution of policies and procedures regarding the function, and recommends/implements improvementsCounsels and negotiates directly with customers to establish special credit arrangements and payment schedulesLeads all collection related processes, including account management, pre and post collection follow up, and delinquency reporting and analysis for key customer portfoliosPlans collection tactics for risky, slow pay, and sensitive accountsQualifications:Required skills/experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field of study5+ years of business experienceThe ideal candidate for this role:Will possess very strong interpersonal and customer service skills, combined with solid analytical skillsIs able to work well under pressure and only needs general direction while independently determining and developing solutionsMust be able to communicate effectively in both written and oral form, be self motivated with strong results orientation, and possess the ability to manage through barriersWill have experience managing multiple projects/assignments simultaneously, and work effectively within a team environment, and across multiple business disciplinesApply for this job.
