Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Crop Consultant is responsible for managing customer accounts within their assigned territory. This position is responsible for maximizing customer and company profitability, providing solutions to meet customer’s requirements, performing all business tasks safely and efficiently, and other duties as assigned.What you will do: Plan and develop customer crop plans, including fertility, crop protection, and seed portfoliosStrengthen customer business plans, profitably and sustainably; achieve profit margin objectivesExpand customer’s trust to be the agronomic business partner of choiceIntegrate and position proprietary products into customer business plansDevelop and maintain a thorough knowledge of product features, benefits and useConduct initial customer credit review to determine credit risk and establish credit limitsCollect outstanding accounts receivable from customersRecognize and communicate company finance programs when applicable Keep confidential customer information, accurate records, and organized business plansMake safety a daily priority Able to work additional hours to meet business demandsOther duties as assignedWhat you will bring: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years’ experience in Agriculture or a degree from an agriculture related programExcellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, and organizational skillsMust be a self-motivated team player with the desire to succeed Highly skilled at business/enterprise analysis Strong time management capabilityProficient use of computer programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointValid Driver’s LicenseCDL endorsement preferredMust pass pre-employment drug screenMust meet DOT and Company requirementsAble to work additional hours to meet business demandsAre you a good match?
