Crop Protection Sales Representative – Iowa

What You Will Do:
Develop and maintain strong and trusted relationships with customers in your assigned territory
Act as the primary liaison for all channel partners and retail accounts within your territory which includes developing and implementing annual business plans to influence end-user demand
Partner with Seed Care and AgriEdge Specialists to develop territory opportunities
Create demand at the customer level, ensuring that the customer is knowledgeable about our products and has further interest in Syngenta solutions
Participate in trade shows, tours and product launches for crop protection within assigned territory
Manage operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds within Commercial Unit / District guidelines
Relay accurate forecasting for customers within territory
Deliver campaigns and offers to targeted customers through selected channel partners Who You Are:
You have a passion for agriculture and you really understand the crop protection industry
You have a reputation as a leader and a proven track record of persuading others and negotiating favorable outcomes
You establish relationships quickly and are known for your customer focus
You are a problem solver and enjoy the challenge of making things better Skills:
You Have:
Bachelors Degree
At least 2 years of Retail, B2B or Field Sales experience, including Account Management and Sales Administration
A strong knowledge of agronomics, general cropping practices, agricultural technology and the trends and requirements for pest control
Ability to travel up to 50%
Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record You Might Also Have:
Degree in Agriculture, Marketing or Science
Strong technical knowledge of Syngenta and competitive products
Solid business acumen and ability to understand business financials and price/volume relationships
First-hand knowledge of farming What We Offer:
