GEOGRAPHY:CA, AZ, UT, NV, OR, ID, WY, MT, WA(Majority of work will be in Oregon and Washington) JOB FUNCTION: Increase sales and market share of Motomco rodent control products at Crop and Rangeland Input Suppliers. Support Western Territory Manager to help increase sales and market share at Farm Store Chains, Independent Dealer Stores, and Poultry and Swine Producers. REPORTS TO: President of Motomco Agricultural Division OBJECTIVES AND JOB ACTIVITIES:Increase sales of ZP AG and other applicable Motomco products to crop input distributors, retailers, ranchers and related decision makers. Increase sales of PCQ AG throughout territory. RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify crop, non-crop and rangeland opportunities.Develop strategies and related tactics including but not limited to:Development of Special Local Needs labeling for specific crops or vertebrate pest species.Identification of under developed markets.Educating distributors and end users about Motomco products.Implement a business plan designed to increase sales of Motomco products.Manage relations and grow the number of Motomco products warehoused.Keep Motomco management informed on new products and promotions, and manage all administrative tasks related to partnership.Meet and/or travel with all customer Sales and Technical Representatives. Educate customer employees on product knowledge, programs, promotions, etc., in an effort to increase Motomco share at their accounts.Attend Distributor Sales Meetings and Industry Trade Shows. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:Work with Registrations department and various state government agencies to ensure proper label registrations.Develop relationships with key decision makers in the related markets.Draft comprehensive business plan to achieve sales goals targeting end users, crop producers, wholesale and retail agricultural companies, private crop consultants and other related outlets for Motomco crop protection products.Work with marketing team to develop tools to support sales tactics. This would include advertising, presentations and related selling flyers.Work with and utilize Motomco Territory Managers to capitalize on crop, non-crop and rangeland opportunities throughout the United States.Work with Motomco sales team to identify and attend industry trade shows and association meetings.Communicate with and utilize President for implementation of business plan. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSPCA license preferred or ability to obtain a PCA licenseAcquire and maintain superior knowledge of our product line, our competitors and the rodent control industry.Develop yearly sales and marketing plan to be reviewed with President of Motomco Agricultural DivisionComplete follow-up letters when appropriate. Trade shows.Attend and exhibit at relevant regional industry showsDraft pre-show mailing letter to all targeted accounts in territory. Weekly expense report and mileage log should be submitted each week and are to be consistent with the company expense guideline verbal and written.Special pricing or non-standardized promotional terms should be reviewed with the Sales Management prior to verbal or written confirmation.Plan for and attend quarterly Motomco Sales Meetings. Actively participate in all Motomco Team objectives. Share selling tools and other tactics with team members. Assist team by attending shows outside of Western Territory when necessary.Communicate weekly with President of Motomco Agricultural DivisionOther administrative reporting to be processed in accordance with established procedures Motomco customer service/office administration guidelines. EDUCATIONBS degree in an Agronomy or related discipline KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESGeneral knowledge of agriculture production of stone/pome fruit, grass grown for seed, hazelnuts, alfalfa, wheat, citrus, hops and other crops throughout the territory.Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to quickly develop rapport with key points of contactStrong analytical skills to focus and interpret market research, identify trends and develop data to support national sales goalsExcellent skills in communication, management level negotiations, analytical abilities, organization, creativity, leadership and teamwork. TRAVEL & TERRITORY COVERAGEWilling to travel approximately two nights per week.Plan for a minimum of 4 travel days each week and up to 4 administrative (office) days each month. Utilize office days for itinerary development, direct mail and phone follow-up, long-term planning and general admin tasks.Apply for this job.
