Customer and Product Support Development Program

Customer and Product Support Development Program prepares new employees for a career of significant roles in John Deere's Equipment divisions.  Through three rotational assignments over a 15-18 month period, participants develop company, product and customer knowledge.  Varied work assignments include experience with John Deere s product lines, marketing and customer support activities, and the independent dealer organization.  There are two similarly structured career paths, Sales & Marketing or Customer & Product Support that participants choose based on education, interests and opportunity, which prepares employees for full-time positions in marketing & sales and customer & product support.The Customer and Product Support program includes three rotations: an initial 6-9 month assignment focused on developing product knowledge, a 3-4 month Regional Training Program instructor assignment training dealer personnel, and a 6-9 month assignment in a role that provides additional experience with the organization and product. Projects focus on learning the product line and marketing, sales, and customer support processes, while working as an instructor at the Regional Training Program provides participants with an opportunity to teach product strategy, features and benefits to dealer employees. Following the third rotation, participants are available to enter their first full-time position.  Relocation is typically required for each rotational assignment as well as the full-time position.Customer and Product Support assignments provide learning and experience with product support, product lines, the dealer organizations, competition, and many other aspects of John Deere Customer and Product Support.  This position may lead to early career positions such as Factory or Corporate Product Support, Dealer Technical Assistance Center (DTAC), Service Training Instructors, or various roles in our Shared Services organization. Key experiences / duties will vary by platform, product line, regions and branches, but may include:Lead factory Dealer Technical Assistance Center (DTAC) projects enabling dealers to provide resolutions to product concerns and assist dealers in offering distinctive customer experienceAddress product performance issues or product problem resolution through activities such as performing quality audits, early detection problem resolution (EDPR) visits, and evaluating failures per machine (FPM) to assist in maximizing customer uptimeDevelop and implement defined support strategies, such as go-to-market support plans, to provide a consistent John Deere experience across all platforms, dealers, and regionsParticipate in, develop, and deliver dealer and company personnel training on new products, processes (customer product support), promotions, systems, and technology. Interface with sales regions, product engineering and dealers to provide accurate data to improve product performance and/or to support and provide inputs into the Problem Resolution Cycle TimeRefine and implement customer and product support strategies to enable and support the use of telematics data, remote diagnostics, and prognostics solutionsTravel with selected field managers to gain experience with distribution/sales/service channelsRequired qualifications: Completed Bachelors or Masters/MBA, Ag Systems Technology, Marketing, Ag Business, Agronomy (with a business option), Mechanical / Agricultural / General Engineering, or other related degreesDesired cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 requiredWilling to travel up to 50%Valid Driver s License and ability to rent a carIntermediate proficiency using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and Excel (data analysis and decision insight)Willing to relocate to any John Deere location in the U.S. during the rotational program and for full-time position assignmentWork Statement:  US Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Desired qualifications: Ag operations experience obtained through education, dealership, production agricultural, and similar experiencesPrevious internship experienceDemonstrated success with previous work/campus leadershipProficiency with a foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Russian)What You'll GetAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go.
