Customer Development Manager – Convenience Retail
SUMMARY:The Customer Development Manager for Convenience Retail Sales is responsible for managing the sale of Tyson retail products within a specific geography for the convenience channel. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,managing the Tyson retail convenience broker network and executing category/brand strategies that deliver volume and trade spend targets. This role is highly entrepreneurial and requires independent drive, creativity, and solid business acumen to continually explore new opportunities to grow distribution and develop long term business. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities are to meet volume and financial targets for the assigned geography as outlined below: Convenience Retailers/Distributors: Keep and prioritize the opportunity pipeline; Work in conjunction with the broker team at both corporate and store level; Build relationships with key decision makers; Implement corporate driven initiatives; Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key partners with focus on sales results, new item performance, and growth opportunities Broker: Actively work in conjunction with the broker team at the distributor & operator level; Prioritize opportunity pipeline; Help resolve any selling obstacles; Train the broker team on Tyson initiatives to include selling tools, promotional execution, and new products Financial Budgets: Manage to the planned trade spend by category; Meet travel and expense budget; Help resolve deduction issues in the market Miscellaneous: Work with trade management, sales planning, and marketing to maximize growth, overcome obstacles and achieve planREQUIREMENTS:Experience: 5+ years of relevant CPG experience preferably to include a combination of Convenience/Vending Channel, Customer Management, Broker Management, Meat Snacks Category expertiseEducation: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skillsSpecial Skills: Strong organization skills, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to work independently; Ability to translate corporate direction into sales successes and the ability to create alignment with the broker Understanding of motivational leadership, conflict resolution and strong selling skills are requiredTravel: 50% – 75%To view a full job description and submit your resume for consideration, click APPLY TO THIS POSITION below and follow the prompts.Apply for this job.
