Customer Development Manager – Dollar Channel
SUMMARY:The Customer Development Manager position is responsible for leading, building and implementing collaborative business solutions for the Dollar Channel on the Tyson Retail Branded product portfolio. The position requires knowledge of the processed meats, frozen and refrigerated food industry to provide direction to key buyers with regards to seasonal trends, market updates and changes in consumer purchase behavior. The position will penetrate Dollar Channel accounts and cultivate relationships and new businesses. The successful candidate must deliver results through cross functional team members while demonstrating the companies 5 C's (caring, commitment, creativity, candor and collaboration) across the organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include: Achieving sales volume and financial goals; Self-starter with the ability to influence key decision makers internally and externally; Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with Customers and Distributors; Manage and optimize trade plan and budget to successfully grow our customer categories; Providing timely and concise communications both internally and externally, aligning and executing multiple business strategies; Being a steward of Tyson's Core Values, 5 C's and taking responsibility for professional development. Other duties include: Achieving desired distribution targets, Developing accurate demand driven forecasts; Working with Innovation team and brand management Teams to develop products and programs to drive customer success; Deduction resolution and check request processing; Meeting key metrics on Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and staying within assigned T&E budgets, as well as timely execution of administrative duties; Keeping informed on changes in market conditions, competitive activity, distribution changes, managing and communicating overall service metrics internally and marketplace intelligence is essential to the job. REQUIREMENTS:Experience: 5+ years of relevant CPG experience preferably to include direct customer sales experience Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Special Skills: Strong organization skills, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to work independently; Ability to translate corporate direction into sales successes.
