Customer Relations Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Universal Seed Company (USC) is a third-party seed production company. We are responsible for multiplying the genetics provided to us by our customers. We do not maintain our own proprietary varieties, nor do we market seed to end users. Our company focus is to grow, clean, treat, pack and ship seed to our customers and or to their end user. The quality standards that we hold ourselves to are very high. Achieving the highest possible quality of seed is required for USC to continue to be considered a leader in this industry. JOB SUMMARY:Builds and maintains positive relationships with all customer accountsServes as main point of contact for all customer communicationsSets pricing based on past production yields and updated base rates for each varietyTakes and reviews customer contracts and confirms customer ordersCommunicates with customer to get all required parentline descriptions and necessary details for production under strict rules of confidentialityEnsures parentlines, materials, and product primaries are setup timely and accurately in ABS systemEnters production orders, subcontracts, fields, and activities into ABS systemMaintains, updates, and distributes crop releaseReviews grower contract for correct acres, kgs., price, and bottom screenActs as liaison between customer and fieldmen to keep customers informed on crop statusCommunicates customer field inspection requirements with fieldmen, USDA, or ODA as requiredGenerates and sends monthly crop reports to customerGenerates and sends crop list report for internal and external purposes and to inform customer on number of growers, fields, and other required informationGenerates and sends receiving report to update customers on progress of harvest and processingEstablishes priorities with customers and communicates status of shipments and priorities as neededActs as driving force to meet required shipping dates to fulfill customer needsTracks and sends customer samples to fulfill customer requirementsGenerates and sends customers invoices for samplesGenerates and sends customers Inventory reports to update on status of inventory at USCGenerates financial reports for projected crop value as requiredParticipates in production meetings as requiredParticipates in processing and priority meetings as requiredArranges travel and organizes visits to meet with customers at their locationsAll other duties as assigned KEY REQUIREMENTS:Must have an excellent eye for detailsMust have excellent organizational skillsMust have excellent Microsoft office skills (excel, word, outlook)Must have a positive attitude with an ability to learn and work within a team environment.Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Must have good self-management skills and be self-motivatedMust have ability to make decisions in sometimes stressful situationsMust be willing to travel overseas for customer visits as required (Japan, and Europe)Seed production experience highly desirable EMPLOYMENT:Oregon has an employment at will law: We will not have any set term of employment. Universal Seed Co. (USC) will employ you, and you will work for USC, at our mutual pleasure.
