Customer Support Manager

PigCHAMP, the global leader in the development and application of information technology in the swine industry is looking for a Customer Support Manager at their headquarters in Ames, Iowa.  Candidates should have a strong interest and knowledge in the pork production industry and an interest in helping producers increase their efficiency and productivity.  The Customer Support Manager will be asked to perform a wide variety of customer-facing assignments that provide value to the company and customers while developing a deep understanding of PigCHAMP products, how they work, and how they provide unique value to the pork industry. Position PurposeThe Customer Support Manager manages the Support Team, which provides support to customers, answering complex questions on function and usage of product via the telephone and /or Internet. Provide service through combination of customer service, technology training and computer troubleshooting abilities. May provide support through travel to customer sites to give in-person, hands-on support to end users as required. Responsible to help with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of end user help requests, including monitoring, tracking, and coordination of Help Desk functions. Conveys customer feedback to product manager.  Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools. Some of the qualifications/experience we are looking for:College degree in Animal Science, Computer Science, Business or related field5+ Years of customer support/help desk experience, preferably in a supervisory roleDocumented strong experience/knowledge of the pork industryCommunication skills, written and interpersonalPrevious sales/customer service experience a plusPublic speaking experience a plusWriting for publication (user documentation, help files) a plusComputer aptitude- Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with swine record-keeping software a plusExperience with web development, social media and or computer programming a plusExperience with CRM and Help Desk tools a plus
