Human ResourcesDate:???????????????April 2019Summary: Provides lead expertise on matters related to data citation and compensation under relevant laws and regulations governing pesticide registration, including the Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act in the United States and the Pest Control Products Act in Canada. Particular focus is on strategies and negotiations with third parties pertinent to registration for off-patent pesticides for the ADAMA business, primarily in US and Canada with occasional support in global jurisdictions. Also, partners with Product Strategy Leaders on matters related to competitive intelligence and strategic regulatory initiatives to help maximize the value of company registration assets.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:?Develops strategies for negotiating data compensation with outside parties in support of new product registration of off-patent pesticide technologies, as well as for defending existing registrations and data rights, protections and intellectual property as allowed under governing pesticide registration laws.Negotiates and administers data compensation legal agreements, aligning data compensation strategy with overall business strategy.? Coordinates with regulatory, business and legal functions to successfully accomplish data compensation agreements, and if relevant, data compensation arbitration process.Manages ?offer-to-pay? process with the initiating registrant and ensures proper internal processes are defined, followed and documented.Collaborates with scientific experts to obtain technical information in support of data compensation negotiations and arbitration proceedings, including valuation of individual studies and other data components that are compensable. Stays current on market pricing for executing various studies that typically supports registration of pesticide products.Negotiates task force/consortium and other data development/cost-sharing agreements with other registrants, assures company adherence and coordinates billing.Participates in a variety of task force committees and/or advises Federal Regulatory Managers on task force strategy, ensuring that ADAMA interests are supported.Co-develops regulatory strategies for life cycle management of key active ingredients in collaboration with regional and global teams representing business, scientific and regulatory functions. Ensures alignment with global priorities and strategies to further the interests of the business.Monitors and informs key stakeholders on regulatory issues potentially impacting life cycle management and company?s freedom to operate.?Tracks competitor regulatory actions, providing timely insights to the business enabling first mover reactions.Develops and maintains working relationships with key executives by collaborating and leveraging expertise from regional and global leadership, legal, marketing, regulatory, R&D, finance/accounting, competitive intelligence, and outside legal firms and consultants.The above-mentioned responsibilities and essential duties would generally be performed in various office settings utilizing computer-based programs and other tools and means of effective communications.? An understanding of agrochemical regulatory affairs and associated legislation in US and Canada is required.Certificates and Licenses: No certifications required.Supervisory Responsibilities: This role has no internal supervisory responsibilities but manages and leads outside consultants and contractors around the globe.Apply for this job.
