Our research & development pipeline is constantly evolving to innovate new prescriptive solutions and deliver quality products for farmers. The Trait and Pipeline Delivery (TPD) organization plays a foundational role in achieving the vision of Global Plant Breeding to improve lives through better harvests. The TPD Data Solutions team is dedicated to developing innovative tools that bring visibility to operational processes, utilizing real-time data to enable new prescriptive workflows and data-driven decisions. We are seeking a talented and motivated individual with passion for using data to generate insight and solve problems to join the Data Solutions Team. The Data Solutions Project Owner will be responsible for driving the development of powerful and intuitive data visualizations and dashboards that enable teams across Breeding to see operational progress, proactively identify risk areas, align cross-functional processes with common metrics, and support both strategic and tactical decision-making processes. The Project Owner will be responsible for developing and managing project plans, coordinating efforts across partnering teams and with our internal development team, and clearly communicating product vision, requirements and features across teams and throughout the organization. Candidates with a strong background bridging science, business intelligence, and IT project management are highly desired for this position. Qualifications:Required Education and Skills/Experience:Bachelor???s degree in Ag/Life Sciences, Data Science, Business Intelligence or related fieldMinimum of 2-4 years of product management, product development, and/or business analysis experience. Related experience in a relevant scientific discipline will also be consideredClear ability, motivation, and enthusiasm to establish a vision, identify gaps and opportunities, and drive and manage necessary change in the organization Experience and passion for using data to generate insight and solve problemsKnowledge of plant breeding or seed production processes and practices Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly interpret and communicate complex concepts with both technical and non-technical audiencesDemonstrated ability to foster and maintain relationships with new and existing partners at all levels of the organization; Experience working with multidisciplinary research teams Demonstrated flexibility to adjust, prioritize, and thrive in an environment with changing requirements and schedule Desired Education and Skills/Experience:Experience working with database systems and management of large data sets Experience with the basic tools and practice of data science, including data capture, management, organization, analysis, and interpretation; familiarity with R/Python, database operations, and Spotfire/Tableau (or other visualization tools)#LI-POSTApply for this job.
