Demand Planner- NAFTA- United States
Internal Overview:The Demand Planner NAFTA is part of the regional Demand Planning team, responsible for the creation, reviewing, adjusting, and publishing the NAFTA demand signal for the DuPont Nutrition and Health business.The NAFTA Demand team interacts and communicates with sales, marketing, finance, supply planning, and other departments as appropriate to obtain current, accurate and relevant information in the region.The duties of the Demand Planner include: aligning and updating the demand forecasting system, working with SAFI Sales and Global Marketing in understanding forecasting implications of activities and events, working with supply planners in supporting long term forecasts and short term opportunities, and playing a key role in obtaining forecast accuracy and bias elimination.As part of the Nutrition and Health – NAFTA Demand team , the Demand Planner plays a supporting role in the DIBM process and drives alignment with cross-functional partners to achieve world class forecast accuracy.The Demand Planner reports into the Regional Demand Manager responsible for the NAFTA region, as part of DuPont Nutrition and Health?s SAFI organization. The position is located in the NAFTA region, preferable at a site with strong Nutrition and Health presence, such as New Century, Madison, St. Louis, St, Joseph, Wilmington, Thomson, Tecoman etc. Responsibilities: Demand PlanningSupport Demand Review meetings to assure an efficient, effective process.Support the consensus demand plan each month and pulling together necessary content to support the DIBM processManage statistical forecastsInteract with sales, marketing, finance and supply chain to understand demand forecast drivers and forecasting process improvements.Analyze sales history, business intelligence, and statistical data to drive accuracy for short-term (0-12 months) and long-term (12-24 months) forecast horizons, including support of budget process.Becomes subject matter expert in demand planning tools (APO; MyBIS; MIP), including implementation of training schedule (Sales Input Tool) with Commercial Team and partnering directly with IT to resolve technical system issuesHas continuous improvement mindset around forecast accuracy, forecast bias and MFA within the process using strong analytical techniques.Qualifications:Qualifications:+5 years? operational experience, ideally focused on supply chain planningStrong analytical skills required with ability to draw and present findings on solutionsExcellent communication skills to create effective interactions with multiple functional groups and levels of the organizationAbility to present and sell ideas, plans and recommendations through strong personal influence building skills that lead to consensus decisions and plans.Result driven and self-starterAbility to work effectively and influence across all levels of the organizationProcess orientedStrong SAP and MyBIS knowledgeAPICS CPIM and/or Greenbelt certification preferred but not required. *LI-AB1Apply for this job.
