Monsanto, North America Planning is seeking a highly motivated professional to join the US Row Crops Demand Planning team as a Demand Planning Manager.  As the Demand Planning Manager, you will oversee and lead the US Demand Planning and Forecasting team to support the US $6B+ Row Crops business.  Primary responsibility for developing and maintaining demand planning practices to achieve the best demand signals to supply over the full planning horizon.   The work will involve working with the NA business teams, specifically sales leadership, Product Management, Manufacturing, Finance and Customer Ops to ensure effective management of supply demand matching to deliver a best in class customer experience while meeting company financial commitments.  You will have direct interaction with Supply Planning, US Commercial and Customer Care to ensure a holistic plan for the business.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to play a key leadership role in the ongoing US Planning Transformation. Responsibilities:Manage the people, process and tools to achieve a consensus shipping demand forecast to be used for current year fulfillment.Collaborate with planning analytics to refine demand models to project future product level demand based on historical data and heuristicsWork collaboratively with Sales, Product management and Finance to improve and deliver accurate, robust and timely invoice forecasts and business plan targetsBalance supply with demand in responsible crops and Monsanto owned brandsIntegrate with Product Management, Field Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Supply Planning to achieve effective allocation of products by combining sales forecasting information and product inventory availability to identify mismatches and drive trade-off decisions based on profitability, strategic opportunity and other factorsOverall accountability for the Sales Forecast Alignment process, escalating risks and mitigating actions as necessaryHighlight and drive resolution of supply chain issues affecting delivery of the businessEnsure team is coordinating cross-functionally across supply planning, customer care and DRP  to ensure targets are met and product availabilityProvide operational input and analytical support for critical business programs, decisions and initiativesParticipate as a member of strategic Brand teams, and tactical Control Tower Planning teamsChampion continuous improvement opportunities for related systems and processesLead and coach Demand Planners on a daily basisTechnical and career development of Demand PlannersQualifications:Required skills/experience Minimum Bachelors degree required; ideally in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or other analytical field5+ years experience in Demand Planning discipline2+ years people leadership experienceAdvanced analytical skills including business and financial analysisAbility to think strategically and interpret quantitative trends into business outcomesProven track record of sound judgmentResults oriented with ability to execute through others to achieve resultsAble to have effective crucial conversations and influence leaders across functionsHighly effective communication style, both written and verbal Desired skills/experienceMBAExperience building and developing a Demand Planning function/teamExperience in predictive analytics/statistical modeling a plusDemonstrated change management skills
