Development Manager – #01SAE
We are currently seeking an agile Development Manager. This role will be located in St. Louis, MO, reporting to the Platform Development Lead. The Development Manager will lead a community of software development teams that build innovative new digital products that enable our mission to unlock new yield potential on the farm. These product offerings are diverse and span from mobile & web apps, to data & analytics services, to smart devices using Internet of Things technologies. Development Managers serve as people leaders to software developers and work closely with product managers, agile coaches, and functional IT organizations to foster a team culture that maximizes value delivery to enable our key business objectives. Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate passion and ownership by leading agile development teams that engage in all aspects of the software development lifecycleEmbrace servant-leadership, maximizing the development and performance of teams and individuals through continuous feedback and coachingManage the supply and demand of engineering capacity to ensure that powerful teams are in place to meet the needs of our businessPromote Functional IT understanding of the relationship between the functions and Products & Engineering cultivating a sense of partnershipPromote collaboration between developers and product managers, UX designers, and business users to deliver state-of-the-art digital capabilityPartner with managed services providers to transform areas traditionally supported through waterfall methodologies into agile processesBe curious and proactive.
