You will play a keyrole in the realization of the Kaolin strategy to maintain the #1 globalposition in Industrial and Calcined kaolin.  Formulafor Success ?       Leveraging your education in engineering,materials science, ceramics or other relevant scientific field, with relevant industrialR&D experience directed at design and development of inorganic particlesfor applications (coatings, ceramics and rubber and plastics), you will the labphase development activities of the cross-functional team using projectmanagement skills for approved projects to develop lab prototype(s),lead/support scale up and assist with new product launching activitiesincluding customer interactions and trials.?       Utilizing your track record of commerciallysuccessful new product and process development innovations, strong projectmanagement, and work management skills, you will be responsible for ideacreation, selection and design of technical approaches using expertise inparticle science and technology to address the innovation gaps incoatings/ceramics/rubber and plastics markets. This includes conducting proof-of-conceptwork, if needed, to support business case development.?       Your soundknowledge of physical and characterization techniques of particulate materialswill be essential as you lead the lab phase of the development activity, providetechnical advice to management and staff in area of specialization of theindustrial kaolin market, and support Manufacturing and Field Technical groupsin troubleshooting of technical issues.?       Demonstratingyour strong concern for and experience with lab safety standards and proceduresyou will contribute and adhere to Safety, Environmentaland Security standards of the Corporation and the RBU.?       Through identifyingIntellectual Property (IP) situations, submitting timely invention disclosuresand support patent application process to help improve BASF?s value propositionin the market, you will ensure intellectual property stemming from process andproduct development initiatives is appropriately documented and aggressivelypursued.?       Successfullyengaging across the organization and using your excellentinterpersonal skills,you will network with scientists in other business unitsand leverage BASF?s unique technology capability in development activity or solvingcustomer?s complex challenges. ?       Bystaying current with developments in field of expertise you will prepareoriginal papers for presentation or publication within the guidelines of BASFpolicies and support the creation of the business case tojustify product/process development activity. CreateYour Own Chemistry: What We Offer You Addingvalue to our customers begins with adding value to you.
