The Breeding organization in Juana Diaz Puerto Rico is seeking to hire a Data Analytics Scientist to apply science and analytical techniques to support development of new solutions that can be incorporated directly into nursery operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate individual to join a multidisciplinary team of breeders, agronomists, and engineers who work on creative solutions to complex business problems using advanced field operation equipments, analytics and cutting edge automation techniques. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for: Reviewing experimental protocols and conducting data analysis to improve greenhouse and field nursery productions and efficiencies Conducting statistical analysis for complex experimental designs and modeling projects and develop predictive models using agronomic, geospatial or other high-dimensional data Advising on opportunities for implementing consistency and standardization of metric identification, collection techniques and process improvement across workflow'sTransforming large amounts of diverse data into descriptive knowledge using advanced analysisApplying mathematical modeling and other optimization methods to develop and interpret information that assists with decision makingWorking closely with IT teams and business liaisons towards achieving strategic and operational excellence Presenting compelling, validated analysis to all levels of organization, including peers, senior management and internal customers to drive both strategic and operational changes in business Qualifications: QualificationsMinimum of a Master???s degree in statistics, management science, agronomy, biology, breeding or related fieldExperience in organizing, transforming data sets in preparation for analysis. Proven ability to handle and manipulate large datasets, at a minimum pulling from and/or using relational databases Experience with Statistical & Mathematical programming packagesExperience with data queries in SQL and database relations & modelsExcellent oral and written communication skills Highly motivated, independent, agile, and resultsApply for this job.
