Director of Commodity Risk Management, Global Urea Product Line
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Agronomy (Crop Nutrients) division.
We are looking for a Director of Commodity Risk Management, Global Urea Product Line at our corporate offices in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
This role will lead and drive the strategic alignment of our global and domestic wholesale urea product line.
You must be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, innovative and detail oriented with excellent communication skills both verbal and written. You must also have strong leadership skills with an ability to teach, influence and develop talent. You Will:Provide leadership, strategic direction and commodity risk management for our wholesale urea supply chain globally and domestically.Work with our sales, customer service, and other supply and trading teams to help our customers manage their risk, capitalize on market opportunities and have a great customer experience. Develop our future leaders through coaching, classroom presentations, and daily experiences.Utilize our market research team to identify and capitalize on trading opportunities that leverage our global supply chain and add value to our owners.Develop long-term relationships with our suppliers, customers, and co-workers.Guide sales and trading activities to achieve overall success, profitability and long-range strategic goals for our urea product line.Develop strategic goals and long-range plan with the Agronomy leadership team.
Collaborate across CHS to identify and execute on opportunities that add value to the enterprise.Champion and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree in Agricultural Business/Economics or related field12 plus years of overall experience in the Commodities and/or the Energy industry10 plus years of highly profitable trading experience to include:Cash marketsArbitrageFutures, options and/or OTC contractsLogistics management and tradingMultiple P&L managementExperience utilizing research and analytics to make data-driven decisions5 plus years of progressive team leadership experienceAbility to travel up to 25%Preferred Qualifications: (desired)MBAGlobal commodity supply chain risk management experienceFertilizer or energy trading experienceStrategic planning experience
