Director of Member Services & Industry Relations
A progressive, non-profit organization tackling important issues affecting the dairy industry is hiring a Director of Member Services and Industry Relations to join their team. The organization supports dairy producers in the northeastern U.S. by acting as a united voice for important matters, such as environmental and labor regulations. It also gives guidance and keeps diary producers informed on important news involving the industry. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Member Services and Industry Relations will work with farm members, industry partners, and assist in community relations and education, as well as increasing the organization s membership. This is a remote, home-based position to be based in the state of New York. ResponsibilitiesRemain current on latest topics, concerns and issues that affect membersAssist members in approaching challenges with an informed and creative approachRecruit new farm members, business and industry membersMaintain membership lists and contact informationMaintain website and social media accountsWrite a column for the quarterly newsletter and source related contentPlan and organize meetings and events, including annual membership renewal driveConduct monthly farm visits approximately 9 per month Desired ProfileStrong public relations and social media skillsExcellent communication skills, to include writing, public speaking, and presentationAbility to work autonomously and efficientlyCurious and passionate about the dairy industry and farmers NOTE: Compensation is base salary with matching 401(k) only. No paid benefits are offered. Must be able to provide a vehicle and professional at-home office environment.
