Director of QA/QC and Regulatory AffairsGreat company with solid industry reputation and expanding rapidly is in need of a Dir. Level Executive to manage the QA/QC/Regulatory Affairs division. Position is primarily a working role 85-90% time with 10-15% time responsible for supervising and overseeing the activities of the Corporate Quality Assurance staff. Knowledge of nutritional data and FDA labeling requirements desirable with Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA regulations, HACCP, and FSMA strongly desired. MS Degree or MBA a plus.Base Requirements: A minimum of 5 – 10 years of experience in the commercial feed or pet food industry with emphasis on quality management or regulatory compliance Demonstrated ability to interpret wide-ranging types of technical data and regulatory information Ability to coordinate regulatory investigations to ensure products meet regulatory and food safety requirements Ability to clearly and concisely communicate detailed knowledge as required Advanced computer skills which include Microsoft Word and Excel Technical writing competency Previous supervisory experience highly desiredPrimary Responsibilities: Direct the Corporate quality assurance and regulatory process for 15 manufacturing locations Develop, implement, and maintain policies and programs to execute quality assurance objectives Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of ingredients and products to ensure finished product quality Ensure the preparation and timely submission of product registrations and regulatory documents Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions Consult and coordinate with other compnay business groups on quality and compliance initiatives Implement strategy to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, and FSMA Represent company on industry committees and task forces Develop and provide training programs pertaining to feed safety and regulatory requirements Monitor risk management activities Assist with internal and 3rd party certifications Work with suppliers to obtain and maintain credentials and documentation Assist with BPR (Business Process Redesign) and LIMS implementation and the on-going duties related to these projects Other assigned duties Let us know if this sounds like an opportunity for you to enhance your career!
