Come grow with us!??General Purpose and Scope of Position:Provide leadership, expert advice, sound judgment, and timely and appropriate actions in managing the personnel and process of acquiring federal and state registrations and any other credentials for Wilbur-Ellis Branded Products. Individual will also manage Regulatory Affairs relevant to the Wilbur-Ellis proprietary product line. Through example and direction, create an environment within the Product Registration Department that motivates the team to achieve excellence in the delivered role.? Ensure that performance of the Product Registration Department is such that objectives as set forth in Strategic and Operating Plans are met with emphasis on effective resource utilization, minimize Shareholder risk and maximize corporate value.?Key Skills and Abilities Include:Bachelor?s in agriculture, Chemistry, or similar degree preferredAdvanced degree preferred5-7 years in international, federal, and state product registration or related experience preferredExperience with monitoring and managing Federal and state regulatory affairsFundamental knowledge of Crop Protection businessDeep understanding of Ag industry crops, technologies and practices, and knowledge of marketplaceExcellent written, verbal and presentation communication skillsStrong time management skills with the ability to set prioritiesStrong and visible leadership ? Ability to quickly establish credibility and utilize strategic thinking to shape the team and strategic plan within the functional organization as well as in partnership with cross-functional stakeholdersImpact and influence ? Ability to influence, develop and maintain effective internal/external relationships to facilitate change, with and without authority, and ensure cohesion across the organization. Able to operate effectively and comfortably with different cultures, in strange and challenging situations and to direct and instruct in a respectful and polite manner?Key Personal Attributes Include:Aligns to our Core Values (Integrity, Diversity, Effort, Accountability, Service)Proven leadership ability including ability to build relationships with cross functional team membersSkilled in creative and critical thinking needed to achieve goalsExcellent verbal and written communication skills to proactively update the organization on issues and keep all necessary parties informedIs well organized, meets deadlines, great attention to detail and works well under pressureWilling to travel up to 15-20%??Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:To lead development of the highest quality registration services for agricultural chemicals, adjuvants, and plant nutritionals while ensuring commitment to governmental regulations and ethical environmental responsibilitiesTo provide expert registration and product regulatory advice and services to Wilbur-Ellis Ag DivisionTo obtain new domestic and international registrations and registration amendments for Wilbur-Ellis Branded agrichemicals, adjuvants, and nutritionals in a timely and cost-effective mannerTo develop and maintain an effective flow of registration information within and among all business unitsTo manage data generation strategies, to direct registration data development, to contract studies with independent laboratories and to protect and enhance the value of the company's registration dataTo manage relevant aspects of product regulatory affairs in all U.S. states. To provide leadership and supervision to the Registration Specialists in the areas of initial product registrations, data submissions (where required) and annual state registration renewals.? To manage FIFRA Section 24(c) Special Local Need registrations, FIFRA Section 18 support and data call-ins, as well as coordinating responses on proposed regulatory actions in the states.To acquire certifications in adjuvants, organics, and other credentials for Wilbur-Ellis productsTo manage, with interaction of Corporate Counsel, the interface between Wilbur-Ellis and outside legal counsel relating to registration issues and to manage the interface between Wilbur-Ellis and its registration consultantsCollaborate with competitors and manufacturers to private label agricultural chemicals, adjuvants, and plant nutritionalsTo manage the interface between Wilbur-Ellis and federal and state pesticide regulatory bodiesTo provide regulatory expertise and to coordinate regulatory activities and communications with the Branded Technologies team, manufacturing team, and external relationships to achieve a high degree of efficiency in branded product development and branded product marketingTo serve as Wilbur-Ellis? representative on data generation Task Forces, CLA Registration Committee, CPDA Regulatory Affairs Committee, and WPHA Regulatory Affairs CommitteeTo assist the Vice-President, Branded Technologies, in developing within the registrations unit an environment which encourages personal growth, ownership of programs, understanding of priorities and pride in individual and team accomplishment along with fiscal responsibilities?Compensation and Benefits:Competitive annual salary (to be determined based on experience and other factors)Comprehensive employee health and retirement benefit offerings?Job Code:?DIREC03416
