Director of Risk Management
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Global Grain Marketing division. We are looking for a Director of Risk Management. You will provide management and oversight for the strategies and risks associated with the purchase and sale of global soybeans, cross country trading in southern Minnesota, position management across Grain Marketing for soybeans and market intelligence management to increase the value proposition to CHS customers. You must have excellent leadership and judgement skills with the ability to develop talent. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong analytical skills.You will:Lead the global staff for soybeans, including global trade coordinators, Minnesota cross country trade group and center gulf trading.Partner and collaborate with CHS business units to align the soybean supply chain for CHS.Provide leadership and oversite of go-to-market strategy for soybeans in the US and globally to drive market access for our owners.Oversee communication and alignment with CHS global offices to facilitate seamless, efficient supply chain execution.Collaborate with the Processing Division on risk position at CHS soybean crush plants.Champion the development of talent in trading and risk management for global soybeans.Be a leader in driving risk management decisions for soybeans across the enterprise.Develop and foster long term relationships with our shippers and global customers.As a member of the leadership team, participate and contribute to Grain Marketing North America strategic planning and business development.Oversee and lead transformational business changes to ensure support of change and vision for the future.Drive profitability within the global soybean product line.Champion and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business/Economics or related field15 plus years overall business experience to include: 10 plus years high level commodity trading as well as logistics and risk management experience both domestically and globally, with a highly profitable track record5 plus years of progressive team leadership experienceIntimate understanding of and ability to design and analyze a commodity long/shortUnderstanding of market data analytics and the ability to apply it to risk managementMultiple P&L management.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, ProClarity, Power Point)Preferred Qualifications: (desired)Global ExperienceApply for this job.
