Learn more at www.adm.com. Director Quality Assurance, Flavors? Erlanger, KY This is an exempt level position. Job Summary: The Director of Quality Assurance, Flavors will provide strategic leadership, direction and guidance regarding food safety and quality systems.
This role supports the flavor business as an industry leader in quality and food safety and promotes both throughout the organization.
This role will develop cross-functional partnerships at the plant and business levels to create actionable conclusions and recommendations.
The position will focus on continuous improvement of quality processes in order to be a differentiating factor for our customers in the areas of quality, food safety, and consistency.
This position reports to the Vice President, Quality Management and Food Safety, WFSI.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and build strong food safety and quality programs at each WILD Flavors location within North AmericaEnsure alignment with quality and regulatory priorities and policiesServe as an expert resource in developing and maintaining appropriate quality and food safety programs Provide oversight to the development and implementation of the quality management, food safety and continuous improvement systemsLead the WILD North America quality function through coaching, collaboration, planning and sharing of best practicesEnsure the quality function has the appropriate resources, talent, training and tools to achieve business objectives Support the sales organization with guidance, recommendations, resources and customer communication on quality and food safety issuesProvide oversight of the quality control program in order to ensure compliance to customer specifications, product safety and adherence to regulatory requirementsEnsure targets are developed to monitor and improve product and process qualityEnsure GFSI certification at each locationEnsure compliance to all regulatory requirements and industry certifications, including FSMA, FSSC certifications, FDA, USDA, etc.Involvement with trade associations to ensure WILD North America is current in quality innovation Job Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related field10+ years of industry experience in food manufacturing10+ years? Quality experience, flavor specific experience strongly preferredExtensive experience in a food/beverage manufacturing and laboratory environment, HACCP, and food safety practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills a must; ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, and regulatory officials, as needed
